Native Tree Series

This sequence is in it's infancy, beginning with the two paintings below. Each tree has it's own unique character, some standing proud and majestic while others are bent, twisted and wind swept. The Hawthorn is abundant up in the Northwest and its association with ancient Ireland and Irish mythology made it an ideal subject for the start of this series.
